Here is the T-34s approximate ground track. Turn radii are for 30 degrees and 60 degrees of bank.

T-34 “routine” consists of several passes in different formations:

1. diamond
2. fingertip
3. trail
4. echelon

On the 4th pass the T-34s will “break” to downwind (the small race track in the picture), make a 5th pass in trail, and then do a turning rejoin that will take another 360 degrees (6th pass) and depart to the southwest.

After the last pass the T-34s will fly up the channel, turn left and do a fly-by over Ft. Rosecrans, continue left turn around the tip of Pt Loma and fly up channel again, around North Island, abeam Midway, cross the bridge, on to Point Charlie, and then left turn to go back to Gillespie Field.
